Good morning 2015. I’m so happy to see you.

The last month has been rough, after a few unexpected car expenses, strep throat, the flu, and the most recent passing of my Grandfather. I have decided to reflect on 2014 and what is to come in 2015.

2014 was full of great memories. I married my best friend and soul mate Johnny Greene. I know this is cliché but he really is my rock. He keeps me grounded with my ENTP personality kicks in hyper drive, and he inspires me with a slight kick in the butt when I need it. He has this way of making me smile all the time, not just once a week or here and there. Every day! The entire Greene family have shown me so much love and accepted my whole family as their own, which I am so grateful for. I also moved back home, where all of my family are all within 5-10 minutes of me, plus no commuting to work anymore.

While 2014 had some amazing moments; it also had its dark side. Family feuds that seem like they will never end. Realtor’s and loan ladies who I swear were trying to kill me, and saying goodbye to a job that I loved.

The truth is, every year is full of ups and downs. It’s like this balancing act that we all do day in and day out. I think sometimes we can all get stuck trying to balance so much, that we forget to be in the moment and truly thankful for each other. Not just on Thanksgiving, but everyday. Think about the ones you love, your husband, wife, children, dogs, cats, even that relative you haven’t spoken to for the past two years. What if they were gone tomorrow? What if you were gone tomorrow?

Remember, life is short, and you only get one. Make it count.
