Hope all is well, at my house we just finished moving sandbags from our street drains because our entire neighborhood is flooded. Luckily the water didn’t make its way up into my garage otherwise my at home gym would have gone under. Not cool.
The rainstorm kind of put a damper on my fitness parade, but I’m not going to let it stop me from going to my CrossFit class. Even though everything in my body wants to curl up on the couch, under a cozy blanket, and watch Ghost Hunters all day long. Which leads me into the main point of this blog.
3 Surefire Steps to Get Your Butt Off the Couch and In the Gym
Set a time:
Setting a time holds you accountable. If you don’t set a time you won’t ever make it. You will just put it off, and put it off until its 8 or 9 at night and by that time, we both know you won’t go to the gym. I’m committing to 4:00 pm today.
Put Your Workout Clothes On:
Get out of those cozy pants and put on your workout clothes. The chances of you making it to workout greatly increase once you have your workout clothing on. In fact, put your shoes by the door while you’re at it. Now you’re committed, no looking back. Today I’m planning on wearing one of my favorite Rokfit shirts.
Find Something to Inspire You:
Inspiration is what keeps me going. In fact, a good majority of my day consists of browsing Pinterest and Instagram for inspiring quotes and pictures to help keep me on track with my fitness goals. My favorite quotes are the ones that make me want to jump off the couch and get my rear in gear at the gym. It’s almost impossible to read a quote like “ You’re not going to get the butt you want by sitting on it.” and not go workout.
Well, I’m off to workout. Thank you for reading.
