Chow down with Dave Castro and the rest of the CrossFit games athletes! Monday night Dave Castro announced the ” Unknown workout” that will kickoff the Start of the CrossFit games 2013 this Wednesday!

Last year Camp Pendleton put our favorite CrossFit Games athletes to the test, but this year will a calm pool show them whose boss? Dave Castro brings word for Day 1 of the CrossFit Games.

CrossFit Games Unknown Workout #1:

50 yard swim in a pool, followed by 3 bar muscle ups

Sounds easy right? Until you add another 9 rounds, for a total of 10 rounds.

That’s a total of 500 yards swimming, and 30 bar muscle ups.

This should get interesting with athletes being wet from the pool water, and then trying to do bar muscle ups with a wet and much heavier body.

But just in case you think this workout is too easy….There is a second one!

CrossFit Games Unknown Workout #2:

A Half Marathon Rowing Race 21,097 meters for 100 point score

The first 2,000 meters will be another 100 point score

CrossFit Games Monday Night Announcement

At the Athlete Dinner, Rich Froning and other top Games athletes watched Pat Barber demo Naughty Nancy, which was previously announced as Saturdays workout. What is Naughty Nancy?

Saturdays Naughty Nancy

Naughty Nancy: Watch Pat Barber demo one round of Naughty Nancy (Watch it @ Naughty Nancy by Pat )

Start: Run around stadium, about a 600m loop that starts up the stadium stairs, through the green, down the stairs, and back to the bar.

Then, 25 Overhead squats – 145 for men, 95 for women.

This will conclude one round of Naughty Nancy, however our games athletes will be completing 4 rounds of Naughty Nancy.

What would your strategy be for this Wednesday’s Unknown workout and the 21,097 meter row, with the 2,000 meter split score?
